PILOT’s FriXion Erasable Pen utilizes thermo-sensitive gel ink that responds to changes in heat. By gently rubbing it off with its unique tip, ink vanishes without harming paper.
Put ink into an oven or freezer, and it will dissipate even faster! Learn more about this amazing technology on Jenny’s Quilt Skipper website.
Erasable
Prior to the Pilot Frixion pen’s introduction, erasable gel pens were little more than novelty items. However, with the FriXion’s introduction, things quickly changed with a pen that wrote as smoothly as any regular gel pen but had the added feature of being erasable. Since its initial launch date, Pilot has continually improved it by adding different ink colors and barrel designs, as well as various nib sizes with erasable gel ink for improved writing experience.
FriXion pens make drawing easy: simply write on paper and erase with an eraser to quickly transform ink marks into vanishing ones – a process which only takes seconds! Any marks left will only return under extreme temperatures.
FriXion pen are ideal for notetaking and scrapbooking thanks to their advanced technology that allows users to edit without damaging original works. No wonder so many people love them!
Since experimenting with FriXion pens over the past several months, I’ve found them to perform exceptionally well. Their ink is smooth and consistent; plus I love that it can be used on sticker paper–something many planner addicts regularly write on (especially for our Rocketbook notebooks). While shipping sometimes causes clearness to appear during delivery, this issue is easily fixed by placing them in the freezer for 20-30 minutes to clear them back out again.
Retractable
FriXion retractable pens feature an innovative mechanism for extending and retracting their tip, instead of using traditional buttons like conventional retractables would. Instead of pushing down on an extension button to expand or retract it, this FriXion pen uses a clip instead; pushing this clip down extends it, pressing again retracts it; this can make use more challenging than usual and may eventually loosen with repeated use, leading to premature retractions of its tip in its barrel.
Pilot has enhanced its FriXion line to increase performance. Erasable gel ink now works more reliably and erasers are more effective. Furthermore, they have enhanced body design – adding wood grip section and marble acrylic grip sections in their new Ball Knock Zone design for an enhanced premium feel.
The Frixion pen is ideal for quickly taking down notes and lists. Their ink is light enough for effortless writing yet dark enough for vibrant color – not too light either! Furthermore, this erases smoothly using either its nub or regular pencil erasers – the only potential drawback being they may not function in very hot temperatures if left in cars or near radiators.
Replacement “erasers” for this pen can be purchased from most online retailers, though they tend to be relatively pricey. Because the original eraser can’t cover larger areas effectively, purchasing an upgrade might be necessary if larger surfaces need erasing.
Ballpoint
Before the FriXion was invented, erasable pens were more of a gimmick than anything. Their ink consisted of slippery graphite powder that required something crumbly such as rubber eraser crumbs to erase. But thanks to its heat-evaporating ink formula, FriXion became an erasable ballpoint that could write just like any other pen while leaving no traces behind of ink residue when erased.
Pilot’s erasable gel ink pen come in various forms, from single-color gel pens and multi-pens to marker and highlighter varieties. Each pen is lightweight yet sleek for convenient carrying in your backpack or purse; their colors range from pastel pastel hues to vividly vibrant ones for easy customization and customization of notes or drawings.
Pilot Erasable Ballpoint Pens are available in both retractable and non-retractable models. Even without its clip, these erasable ballpoint pens remain light and comfortable to write with; their fine point allows precise writing while their dark ink provides dark enough lines that highlight or underline content effectively.
Pilot’s Erasable Pen has another outstanding feature – an “eraser.” Unlike traditional erasers that require crumbly surfaces to operate effectively, its eraser is a nub of plastic matching the body and ink color of the pen itself – perfect for taking notes in class or coffee shops!
Rollerball
Pilot FriXion pen rollerball are ideal for writing notes and solving crosswords, boasting retractable tips that fit easily in small pockets as well as an inner sticky piece to seal its tip to keep it from drying out. Plus, this light pen balances perfectly whether posted or unposted and boasts an attractive clip that attaches easily to notebooks and surfaces!
This erasable pen features a fine point, making it suitable for most paper types and surfaces, including fabric. The gel ink erases easily by simply rubbing off marks. Perfect for quilting, embroidery and sewing! Additionally, each color cap matches its ink shade perfectly!
FriXion products include gel pens, “point” pens resembling needlepoint rollerball pens (called “point pens”), markers and replacement “erasers”. All models of FriXion can be purchased in various colors and configurations and there are replacement “erasers” to fit all models of FriXion pens; some users have reported their FriXion pens turning clear during shipping due to excess heat during transport; if this occurs put them in the freezer for a few minutes and they should return as before!
